The course of treatment
What's included in a treatment?
According to Chinese medicine, diagnosis is the key to the root of the problem. It is followed by acupuncture, herbal medicine if needed and dietary advice, and ends with 10 minutes of shiatsu or Tui Na.

- AcupunctureFine, single-use sterile needles, left in place for 20–30 minutes.
- Herbs and nutritionChinese herbal medicine when needed, and personal dietary recommendations.
- Shiatsu or Tui Na10 minutes of Japanese (shiatsu) or Chinese (Tui Na) physiotherapy.
60–90 minutesA treatment usually takes between an hour and an hour and a half, depending on your needs.

Natan Bar-Natan
Natan Bar-Natan specialized in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University Hospital in Chengdu, China, and at a hospital in Qinghai province. He is a Chinese medicine graduate of Reidman College in Jerusalem.

Acupuncture in Jerusalem: common questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very fine, so the treatment is not painful. Some patients feel a slight tingling when a needle is inserted.
Are the needles safe?
Yes. We use only single-use, sterile needles, so there is no risk of passing infection from one patient to another.
How long is a treatment?
Usually between an hour and an hour and a half, including diagnosis. The needles stay in for 20 to 30 minutes, and the session ends with 10 minutes of shiatsu or Tui Na.
How much does acupuncture cost in Jerusalem?
A clinic visit with diagnosis and acupuncture costs ₪250. Packages bring it down: 4 treatments for ₪880, 6 for ₪1,260, and 10 for ₪2,000 (₪200 per session). A home visit is ₪350. Prices include VAT.
